So many times I have read articles like Dylan Matthew’s about what makes students learn more math. This one is just a brief he-said-she-said piece on some research someone did comparing whether TFA teachers are better at math teaching than non-TFA teachers. And it is sooooo superficial how these questions are asked. There’s no attention to the methods of student engagement. No attention to what is actually taught, nor how it is taught, nor why it is taught.
